The Dave Hawkins Memorial Hockey Game is cherished by all.  Not only was Dave Hawkins a huge part of the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, he was also known by many young female players as Coach.  Dave was an amazing co-worker, friend, coach, dad and husband. This game is to celebrate Dave Hawkins and remember everything has done for our community,  while raising money for our local health care facilitles. This game represents community. 

The Dave Hawkins Memorial Hockey Game was extra special this year. 2023 was the first year since COVID we were able to host the event. BUT Dave's grandson Jack dropped the puck at the game along with Dave's Daughter Katie and his wife Christine. 

This year we had a huge success. Not only was there great hockey, but We also raised over $7500.00!!!!!
Thank you to the RCMP team that raised over $2000!!! Our own Discovery Health Care Team that raised over $2100!!!   Thank you to everyone who came out to support both team! It was an incredible night.  A special thank you to our corporate sponsors, with out their kind donation we would have not been able to pull an event like this off. The Discovery Health Care Foundation is very excited for next year!
