Every year, we fundraise for a number of projects identified by Eastern Health. Projects change from year-to-year as needs change, in order to meet the needs of our front-line health care workers, our health care departments, and our communities.
Our handmade wooden memory boxes are created with love to help families honor and remember their baby. Each box holds gentle keepsakes – an angel gown, a hand and footprint press, seeds to plant in memory, a teddy bear and a book for reflection and comfort. These items offer a way to cherish your baby’s presence and keep their memory close in the days and years ahead.

Through their own heartbreak and loss, the families of Noah and Owen have turned their grief into something deeply meaningful. In Honour of their babies, they created Noah and Owen's Gifts for Memories - a program that provides Cuddle Cots and Memory Boxes to families who experience the loss of an infant.
These gifts, born from love and loss ensure that no family has to walk this path alone.
The Cuddle Cot gently cools a baby after loss, slowing natural changes and giving families the precious gift of time together. It allows parents to hold, love, and say goodbye at their own pace – creating tender memories and moments of peace at during an unimaginable time.
This time together can bring comfort, help families begin to process their grief, and create meaningful memories in a private setting. Our hospital’s Cuddle Cot Program is supported through the generosity of donors who believe that every family deserves the gift of time, love, and connection no matter how brief.
Our Mental Health & Addictions Project is both increasing access to, and enhancing program delivery of mental health and addictions services for our youth.
We have started a partnership with both the Clarenville Middle and High Schools with the goal of increasing the students' access to supports and services in Mental Health and Addictions. This partnership started in October 2021 with our Youth Outreach Worker visiting each school 1 day per week. This outreach worker is available as a support to the students, providing information, connecting them to more formal services and being a listening ear. This will also be a support to the teachers given that there is not always a teacher available to sit with a young person 1 on 1 when needed.
Our Goal is to create 2 spaces (1 in each school) as Therapeutic Spaces. These spaces will create an atmosphere of warmth and caring. The Therapeutic spaces will include computer technology so that students can access some of our online tools in a private space .
